Proud Republican Candidate for U.S. Congress, Bridgette Cooper, is a working mother and sole provider for she and her daughter. Bridgette is also an award winning classical singer and educator, an entrepreneur, and is the Director of Operations for a small business located in Montgomery County, Maryland. With the support of her CEO, Ms. Cooper developed an internship program in partnership with SEEC, to help young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities become independent through access to meaningful jobs in the workplace. Her efforts were recognized, earning her SEEC's 2019 "Mentor of the Year" award.
Bridgette first ran for Congress in 2018 with a strong showing, winning Montgomery County, in the primary, but not enough to put her through to the primary. In 2020 she wants her constituents in Montgomery County, Frederick County, and Carroll County to be "All In" when it comes to improving our education system, free enterprise, women's health and wellness, immigration reform, veteran's reform, and the arts.
Bridgette's lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, and watched her father work hard as an entrepreneur to build his own law firm. His family came to the United States from the Bahamas to Miami, and settled an area now known as Coconut Grove. Her father completed college in three years, served in U.S. Army, completed law school, and his PhD in Philosophy. Her mother is a former well respected educator, and classical singer who was one of the first students of color accepted by a prestigious conservatory in New York during the 50's.
"I look forward to serving my constituents, in Montgomery County, Frederick County, and Carroll County"
